3 - Bioavailability
of Vitamin B6 combined with DeltaZorb™ Active Ingredients
This
study compared the bioavailability of vitamin B6 in a
single 100-mg dose with or without DeltaZorb™ active ingredients.
Six healthy volunteers participated: 3 received B6 with
DeltaZorb™ active ingredients and 3 received vitamin B6 alone. The bioavailability of vitamin B6 was determined by
comparing changes in serum concentrations at time zero (before
supplement ingestion) and at 2 and 4 hours after supplement ingestion.
The maximum serum levels of vitamin B6 were attained after
2 hours, and they were 2.5 times higher in the group receiving vitamin
B6 with DeltaZorb™ active ingredients, as compared to the
control group. At 4 hours, the concentration of B6 leveled
off in both groups with the B6 levels in the group who
received DeltaZorb™ active ingredients remaining 1.4 times higher as compared to the control group.
